Equipment Rental Questions

Everything you need to know about renting from Peak Equipment Rentals across the Treasure Valley, with pickup in Caldwell and delivery available throughout the area.

What equipment do you rent?
We specialize in skid steers (Bobcat S530), skid steer attachments (brush hog, pavement sweeper), trailers (equipment and dump), scissor lifts (SkyJack 19-ft), and plate compactors. Our inventory is always growing—call or text (208) 982-5331 if you don't see what you need.
How do I request equipment?
Fill out the Request Rental Availability form on our site with your equipment, dates, and job location, or call/text us at (208) 982-5331. We reply quickly to confirm what we have available and get you scheduled.
How fast can I get equipment?
We offer same-day service with no appointment necessary. Call ahead to check real-time availability, and we can often have your rental ready the same day. For longer projects, we recommend requesting availability at least a day or two in advance.
Do you work with contractors and landscapers?
Absolutely! We work with contractors, landscapers, property managers, and homeowners. For regular or recurring rentals, call us to discuss job-specific pricing and scheduling options.
Where do I pick up equipment?
Primary pickup is in Caldwell, ID. Delivery is available throughout the Treasure Valley and beyond. Contact us to confirm pickup timing or delivery options for your specific rental.
Do you offer delivery?
Yes. Delivery starts at a $50 minimum and is quoted job by job based on location and equipment. We deliver to job sites throughout the Treasure Valley and beyond. Call for a delivery quote or use our Request form when booking.
Do you have flexible pickup and drop-off times?
Yes! 24/7 service means you pick up and drop off at your convenience—no waiting for store hours. Text or call us to schedule the time that works for your project.
Can I rent equipment overnight or for multiple days?
Definitely. Multi-day rental pricing is quoted by job. Tell us the equipment you need, your dates, and the job location and we will provide the rental quote for your project.
What do I need to rent equipment?
You need a valid ID. No deposit required for most rentals! Some equipment may require proof of insurance. Let us know your job type and we'll confirm requirements before your rental date.
Is there a deposit?
No! Peak Equipment Rentals doesn't charge deposits on most rentals. This is a huge advantage over bigger rental chains. You pay the rental rate, pick up your equipment, and go to work.
What about insurance?
For most rentals, no insurance is required. Some specialized equipment may require proof of general liability coverage. We'll let you know upfront. Many homeowner and commercial policies cover equipment rentals—check with your agent.
What if I damage the equipment?
Accidents happen. Let us know about any damage right away so we can discuss options. We'll work with you to find a fair resolution.
How does pricing work?
We publish daily rates for our main rental equipment on the Pricing page. Bobcat skid steers are $225/day, the 7x14 dump trailer is $85/day, the 22-ft equipment/car hauler is $75/day, the 19-ft scissor lift is $100/day, the plate compactor is $50/day, the brush hog attachment is $120/day, and the sweeper attachment is $100/day. Multi-day rentals are quoted by job. Delivery starts at a $50 minimum and is quoted by job.
How are multi-day rentals priced?
Multi-day rentals are quoted by job rather than using a fixed discount schedule. Send us the equipment, rental dates, and job details and we will quote the project-specific rate.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept cash, check, and most major credit cards. Payment is due at pickup or delivery. Call us to arrange payment terms for larger or recurring rentals.
Do I need training to operate the equipment?
If you've operated skid steers or lifts before, you're likely ready to go. First time? We give a quick safety orientation at pickup and walk you through operation basics. For specialized equipment like scissor lifts, we recommend getting familiar with controls before you leave.
Is the equipment maintained and safe?
Absolutely. Every machine is serviced, fueled, and inspected before each rental. We maintain our equipment to high standards so you can count on it working reliably on your job.
What if equipment breaks down during my rental?
Call us immediately. We'll troubleshoot over the phone or bring you a replacement ASAP. You only pay for the time you actually had working equipment—no surprise charges.
Which attachment should I use for my job?
Brush hog (rotary cutter) for clearing overgrown lots and fence lines. Pavement sweeper for cleaning lots, driveways, and roads. Standard bucket for digging, grading, and site cleanup. Tell us your job and we'll recommend the right setup.
Skid steer vs. scissor lift—which do I need?
Skid steers are for ground-level work: grading, loading, clearing, and transport. Scissor lifts are for elevated work: construction, painting, fixture installation. Not sure? Describe your project and we'll point you to the right machine.
Can I tow equipment with my vehicle?
Yes! Most pickup trucks can tow our equipment trailers (check your vehicle's towing capacity). We provide safe towing tips at pickup. If you're not comfortable towing, ask us about delivery options.
What if I need equipment urgently?
Call or text (208) 982-5331. We prioritize urgent requests and often have equipment available same-day. No "business hours only" policy—24/7 service means we're here when you need us.
Can I extend my rental?
Usually, yes! Call or text us and let us know. If the equipment is booked for another customer, we may not be able to extend, but we'll do our best to work with you. Any multi-day extension pricing will be quoted for the job.
Do you serve areas outside the Treasure Valley?
Yes, we deliver beyond the immediate Treasure Valley area. Call us with your location and we'll discuss delivery options. Delivery has a $50 minimum and the final fee is quoted job by job based on location and equipment.
